DEC provides coaching, training, and technical assistance to help educators plan and track their quality improvement efforts. Programs funded by DEC are required to uphold Early Learning For All Quality Standards and participate in quality improvement monitoring.
DEC is using insights from early educators to identify and prioritize future investments that strengthen working conditions across the ECE workforce.
The Early Educator Salary Support Grant provides funding to early care and education agencies to increase eligible educators’ salaries. Agency administrators work with their teachers and DEC to administer the grant. Eligible educators receive an ongoing wage increase directly in their paycheck from their employer.
